Since the concept of Bubble Tea exploded on the scene in Cebu a few years back, there has also been an explosion of a multitude of different places that serve it. To this day, Bubble Tea is still a favorite among many, including ourselves, but it seems a lot of those places have already disappeared from the horizon. Not Bubble Tea Station though. It’s endured all this years, still remaining a favorite go-to Bubble Tea place in Cebu for many of its loyal and new customers. Bubble Tea Station is 100% Cebuano and homegrown. They have been around since 2012 and are now celebrating their five year anniversary.
Owner Meyan Young shared with us her surprise about the success of BTS. She also shares how it was a spur-of-the-moment thing, because she really just loved milk tea! She remembers how she even just made the brand’s logo using PowerPoint! Meyan is very hands on with everything - from making the recipes to operations and even branding. Meyan describes BTS in its early days and compares it to a “budding teeny-bopper who was very excited for all the possibilities coming her way”. Now after five years, it is being given the branding it deserves. The new brand is described as “a seasoned version of that girl. Still young and vibrant but with experiences already”.

For this fifth year, a lot of exciting things are happening. First, they are opening three more branches in Cebu within the year. Watch out for BTS in SM City Cebu, SM Seaside and Robinsons Cybergate for your milk tea fix in Cebu. Second, they are holding a top seal designing contest. They purposefully did not do a re brand on the top seal of their cups because they wanted their customers to be involved and try to make it their own. Details on the contest may be found in their Facebook Page. Third, they are holding a promo for the whole month of May. All regular drinks will be at Php55 from 11am-3pm every Wednesday of the whole month.
We are so excited to see what the brand has on offer in the coming months and years ahead! If you haven’t tried them out, you may check them out at Banilad Town Center, Robinsons Galleria, UCMed, Ateneo de Cebu and Paseo Arcenas. One of our favorites and a must try is the Wintermelon Series. Other flavors like Classic, Dark Chocolate with rock salt and cheese, Okinawa, Chocolate Milk and Hokkaido are really good too. They also offer Fruit Teas with flavors like Honeydew and Kiwi being our favorites. A lot are fans of their Yakult series. Try the Green Apple Flavor! They also offer up some small fried eats like squid balls, lobster rolls and Seafood Tofu. It’s the perfect parings with the milk tea!
Congratulations to Meyan and the Bubble Tea Station Team!
