7 Ways to Get Fit in Cebu

We know that sometimes it’s such a struggle to get out of bed each day and attempt to exercise – we know because we feel that way a lot of the times. We’ve actually already written a post dishing out some advice on how to actually start to exercise - because starting is one of the hardest things to do!  But once you’ve started then it’s a little bit easier from there on. Now the problem will be on maintaining that energy and relish in wanting to exercise all the time. We think that one of the tricks is to find an exercise that you absolutely love. Something that you can stand doing almost every day. Or even doing diffferent kinds exercises so it doesn’t get boring each day. We’ve found that Cebu actually has quite a variety of these exercises in different establishments. Here are 7 ways to get your fit on in Cebu.

  

 

1.) Yoga

With 2 accessible branches and different classes all throughout the day, Yogahub is a good place to start or continue your yoga practice. They have Beginner's classes daily if you're just starting out and challenging classes like Power Yoga and their Upside Down Class if you want to further your yoga journey. They also have Deep Stretch classes for days that you just want to unwind and relax. With a good roster of teachers and clean & spacious studios, Yogahub has been building a community of yogis, which you would want to be part of.

2.)TRX Suspension Training

All Core All The Time is what welcomes you when you step in TRX Cebu, and isn't that what we're looking for in our exercises? We love how everyday the workout is different, using varied movements that are challenging and never boring. TRX Cebu has impressive equipment and even more impressive TRX qualified coaches to guide you through your work out. 3.) Spinning and Dancing

Zink Studio at BTC offers some of the most fun and energetic spin classes. With a beautiful spin studio, flashing neon lights and the latest dance music, you’ll most likely forget that you’re actually busting your ass off to lose weight. They also offer HIIT and dance classes.

4.) Traditional Gym

One of our favorite places to go to for this is definitely Fitness Nation. They have all the newest and latest equipment that you could possibly need if you’re into weights and cardio exercises. Aside from that, they also offer more than fifty different classes a week – so it shouldn’t be too hard to take your pick! You can change it up every day if you want to! They Have Yoga, Body Balance classes, Zumba, RPM, Body Combat and their latest offering which is Body Pump classes.

5.) Pole Dancing

A fun and unconventional way to keep in shape! Dancing around a pole has never been more fun with Pole Sphinx. Their focus is helping you develop your strength, power and flexibility. They hold 6 students at a time in class – which is pretty small but way better than a huge class because that way the instructors can focus on you more.

6.) Boxing

If you want to channel your inner Manny Pacquiao – then Ala Gym is really one of the best places to go to. They have good instructors and their facilities for the activity are great. Boxing is a really good way to get a full body workout.

7.) DIY Exercises

Now this could be entirely up to you. There a lot of options where you can do exercises on your own without having to pay extra for a gym membership or classes. Do you have a pool at home or elsewhere that you can go to regularly? Discipline yourself to do a few laps every other day. If you’re into running, there are many spots all over Cebu where you can run (IT Park, Cebu Business Park or even Cempark!).
