If you haven't tried Asiago cheese - then I suggest you should! It was one of our favorite cheeses to put in all our cheese platters during the holiday season. It's mild tasting and really delicious. If you happen to have some extra ones lying around then they make for a really good pasta dish too! Check out how we made some angel hair pasta with Asiago.
You will need some cream, chicken breasts, angel hair pasta, thyme, asiago, prosciutto (or bacon if you prefer it), tomatoes, garlic and onions.
Cut up the chicken breast and cook in pan with olive oil. Make sure you season your chicken with salt and pepper.
Once chicken is cooked, take it out of the pan then saute the garlic, onions and tomatoes.
Add the chicken back in the pan and the prosciutto as well.
Add cream and combine with flavors.
Add the grated Asiago into the mixture. Make sure it melts in well into the sauce. Cook the angel hair pasta and mix it in and serve. Sprinkle some thyme on top of the dish.
Voila! So easy to make and so tasty too!
