Food Map in Cebu : 7 of Our Favorite Places to Eat at Paseo Saturnino

There are so many great restaurants in the City and sometimes, when we’re deciding on a place to eat out on some days, we find that we’re stumped. Not because there’s a lack of choices, but because we just kind of really forget about these places and where they are located. We here at The7 wanted to remedy that and decided to come up with a series of food maps. Each Food Map will feature a street or neighborhood where we consolidate 7 of our favorite restaurants. That way, when you find yourself undecided on where to go for lunch or dinner, you can just search for any of our food maps as your guide! First up: our 7 suggestions for Paseo Saturnino. This road is located in Maria Luisa Road, Banilad, Cebu City. Check out the food map below for our favorite restaurants in the area.

Antica Osteria
It’s probably one of the most under rated Italian Places in town and one of our absolute favorites. Tucked away inside the One Paseo Cebu Compound, it’s easy to miss the place but they actually have quite a following who frequent the place. We love their pastas, pizzas and risotto. Their cheese selection – though pretty small, is really good too. They also have a small selection of cold cuts – proscioutto and different salamis which you can have sliced to consume in store or take out. There are also wines by the bottle and some dry goods like pasta and olives for sale.
Tymad Bistro
In our opinion, Tymad has the best desserts in town! Try the Trianon and the Vanilla cheesecake – and we swear you will not regret it. They also serve some pastries like the Kouign-amann and Pain Au Chocolat with some good coffee. It’s also a great place to have brunch or grab a great meal. They have a huge selection of different crepes – both sweet and savory. They have some good pastas and salads and steak as well.
La Nostra Pizzeria Napoletana
Pizza that promises to be as good as a food trip to Naples! We love the La Nostra pizza and the Pasta Puttanesca, although a very simple dish is to die for. Another dish to die for – the Nutella Pizza.
Canvas Bistro Bar Gallery
Located just beside Antica Osteria, Canvas serves up modern Australian cuisine. It has great contemporary and some Asian fusion dishes. Try their small bites – their shrimp and beansprout “ukoy” fritters and Rice Paper Rolls with Mango and BBQ Chicken are some of our favorites. We also love their pastas and risotto.
Wok’d
One of the yummiest Thai restaurants around. We love their Duck Pad Thai, Green Curry and Massaman Beef with Roti. They also have a really good selection of starters/small bite like the curry puffs and spring roll.
Giuseppe Pizzeria & Sicilian Roast
This Italian Restaurant has been around for so long and is one of the favorite go-to Italian places for most Cebuanos. We love the Aglio Olio pasta, four cheese pizza and black truffle pasta.
Rica’s
Another classic favorite of Cebu. They serve up western food with really good ingredients. We love their beef salpicado, adobo flakes, mushroom arugula pizza, and their truffle carbonara. They also have the “Brazo Mantecado” for dessert – something similar to a traditional “Brazo de Merecedes” – which is so, so unbelievably good!!
*Bonus : Since there are just so many good restaurants in this area, we've decided to talk about one more place :
Gorliz Tapas Vinos Spanish Restaurant
One of the really good Spanish restaurants in town. We are loving their selection of paellas, their pulpo and salpicado.
Which ones are your favorites?
